Lemon Pepper Asparagus Spears

So Simple.  So Quick!  So Absolutely Delicious!
Lemon Pepper Asparagus Spears
What You Need:
1 lb. Cleaned Asparagus
1 Lemon
Black Pepper
Salt
Garlic Powder

I know you are thinking...  There are no ingredients!  This has to be simple or a trick.  Well to be honest.  This is a simple side dish to accompaniment any meal you are eating!  Healthy and fast, it's a sure winner!

To Start, make sure the asparagus are cleaned -- sometimes you will need to remove the hard outer skin, and rinsing never hurts!  Next, slice the lemon into thin slices.  You can steam these in the microwave or over the stove.  Wither way, place the asparagus over the water (or in the steamer) and top with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.  Lay the sliced lemon (about half the lemon) over the asparagus.  You can save the other half for cocktails, presentation, water, or for a different dish!  Steam for 8-12 minutes.  Serve hot and enjoy!  Again, they are too simple not to try!
